Recovering Hard Disk Contents

In the unlikely event of a hard disk crash, you can recover your PC's
preloaded operating system and software using the Diagnostics &

Recovery CD-ROM
example:
Windows 95 and Windows NT 4.0 & Service Pack.
Any HP-supplied drivers (for example, video, IDE and LAN).
Any HP-designed manageability applications (for example,
HP TopTools and HP DiagTools).
Any software that has been installed on the PC after it was
manufactured, and any personal data that has been generated by
applications installed on the PC, are not covered by the recovery
process.

Recovering Preloaded Software from a CD-ROM

You can use the Diagnostics & Recovery CD-ROM
reconfigure your operating system, reinstall drivers or other factory
supplied software components. The following paths are available
(where
is the drive letter assigned to your CD-ROM drive):
D:
for Windows 95 (CAB files)
D:\Win95
for Windows NT 4.0
D:\I386
for drivers
D:\Drivers
D:\Applications
1. Some models are not provided with a Diagnostics & Recovery CD-ROM.
If you do not have a Diagnostics & Recovery CD-ROM, reinstall the
operating system from the CD-ROM provided for this purpose with your
PC. Any drivers you need to reinstall can be downloaded from HP's
Support Web site at: www.hp.com/go/vectrasupport.
