Using a Three-Button Footswitch:
In this example, a three-button footswitch is used to control the amp's
channel select, reverb on/off and chorus on/off, and to assign 8 preset
effects to the amplifier settings.
1: Connect the processor unit to the amplifier as usual.
2: Connect the stereo jack of the three-button footswitch to the
processor's FS IN 1 jack. Connect the mono jack of the footswitch
1/2-way in to the GFX FS IN 2 jack. (See drawing below.)
3: Connect a stereo cable from the processor's FS OUT 1 jack to the
amp's dual-function footswitch jack. Plug a mono cable 1/2-way in
to the processor's FS OUT 2 jack and connect it to the amp's sin-
gle-function footswitch jack. (See drawing below.)

You can now use the footswitch to switch between the amp's chan-
nels, to turn the reverb on and off, and to turn the chorus on and off.
You can assign eight effects to the amp: one for each combination of
settings. Assigning an effect to the amp settings is described below.
ASSIGNING AN EFFECT: Use the footswitch to set the amp to chan-
nel A, reverb off, chorus off. Turn the processor's PROGRAM knob to
the effect #1 (pressing the EDIT button twice locks these settings into
memory). Click the #2 footswitch button to turn on the amp's reverb,
then set the processor to effect #2. Click the #2 footswitch button to
turn off the reverb, click the #3 button to turn on the chorus, then set
the processor to effect #3. Click the #2 footswitch button to turn on the
reverb, then set the processor to effect #4. (These are the four "chan-
nel A combinations" referred to on page 33.)
Repeat for channel B: reverb off, chorus off, effect #6; reverb on,
chorus off, effect #7; reverb off, chorus on, effect #7; reverb on, cho-
rus on, effect #8. (These are the four "channel B combinations"
referred to on page 33.)
Now when you use the footswitch to set the amp to channel A,
reverb off, chorus off, the processor assigns effect #1 to the amp.
Turn on the reverb, and the processor applies effect #2. Turn the
reverb off, the chorus on, and effect changes to #3, and so on.
*For purpose of example only – you may assign any effect you want
to any amp setting you want.
