Preset selection and effects editing can be "remote controlled" by
use of a footswitch. 1, 2, 3 and 4-button footswitches (and combina-
tions) may be used. The number of buttons on the footswitch will
determine how many presets can be accessed:

Connecting a footswitch disables the front panel preset

buttons (but not the EDIT button).
If the footswitch has indicator lights, they will light up along with
the corresponding indicator LEDs on the processor. (LEDs that corre-
spond to a footswitch position not being used will stay lit, showing that
these switches are inaccessible. For example, if a 3-button footswitch
is used, the processor's #1, 2 and 3 LEDs will change when the
footswitch buttons are clicked; its #4 LED will just stay on.)
Connect the footswitch(es) as follows (see drawings, next page):
A: 1-button: connect the mono 1/4" plug of the footswitch to the
processor's FOOTSWITCH IN 1 jack.
B: 2-button (or, two 1-button): connect the stereo 1/4" plug of the
footswitch to the processor's FOOTSWITCH IN 1 jack.
C: 3-button (or, one 2-button and one 1-button): connect the
stereo 1/4" plug of the footswitch (buttons 1 & 2) to the processor's
FOOTSWITCH IN 1 jack, the mono 1/4" plug (button 3) 1/2-way to
FOOTSWITCH IN 2 (see note below).
D: 4-button (or, two 2-button, or, one 3-button and one 1-button):
connect one stereo 1/4" plug of the footswitch (buttons 1 & 2) to
the processor's FOOTSWITCH IN 1 jack, the other stereo 1/4"
plug (buttons 3 & 4) to FOOTSWITCH IN 2.
NOTE: In order to toggle between LEVEL and STYLE in the edit
mode, the footswitch(es) must be connected in one of the following
manners:
1: A 4-button footswitch (or, two 2-button) connected as in "D" above.
2: A 3-button footswitch (or, one 2-button and one 1-button) with the
FOOTSWITCH IN 2 plug inserted 1/2-way (2 clicks in, where 3 is
all the way in); as shown below:
