The processor has a built-in tone generator (program 97), which
can be easily adjusted from 35 Hz to 499 Hz. To use the test tones,
follow this example:
Example 5: Using the test tones:
1. Turn the PROGRAM knob until the display window shows "97."
The unit will produce a moderately low level 220 Hz tone (default).
2. To adjust the level, press the EDIT button, then press button #4
until the LEVEL LED lights up. Turn the PROGRAM control to
change the level of the tone (00 is "off" and 99 is maximum).
3. To change the frequency, press button #4 until the STYLE LED
lights up.
NOTE: The display window shows the "tens" and "ones"
places for the test tone, and the four LEDs serve as the "hun-
dreds" place indicators. The illustration below shows how the
processor looks when set to 220Hz (the #2 LED means "200,"
plus the "20" in the display window, thus 220Hz). No LED lit
means what's showing in the display window is the actual
test tone (35 to 99Hz).

"200" added to the "20" in the window = 220Hz
Turn the PROGRAM knob to set the test tone to the desired fre-
quency.
4. To store a test tone as a preset, press the EDIT button until the
EDIT LED goes out.
