The air filter element should be replaced every 20-40 hours. It should be replaced more often if the ATV is operated In extremely dusty
areas. When servicing the air filter element, be sure to check the air inlet of the air filter case for obstructions.
Air filter replacement
1. Park the ATV on a level surface and set parking brake.
2. Remove the seat.
3. Loosen air filter box outlet tube clamp (#1).
4. Disconnect air filter box outlet tube away from carburetor .
5. Disconnect PCV tube and clamp from air filter box(#2).
6. Disconnect gear box vent tube and clamp from air filter box(#3).
7. Remove the three air filter mounting bolts.
8. Remove air filter box from ATV through the body opening under the seat.
9. Remove air filter lid by removing the four Phillips screws(#5).
10. Remove the air filter element and clean surrounding area(#6).
11. Insert new air filter element into air filter housing.
Note: Ensure air filter element is not installed upside down.
12. Re-Install air filter lid and the four Phillips screws.
13. Re-install air filter box on ATV.
14. Re-install air filter box outlet tube on to carburetor and tighten clamp.
15. Reconnect gearbox vent tube and clamp to air filter housing.
16. Reconnect PCV tube and clamp to air filter housing.
17. Re-install air filter mounting hardware.
18. Re-install seat.
19. Start engine and cheek for leaks.
