3. General description

3.1. Use

The C(H)150WA pump type is a single-stage transportable
centrifugal pump, suitable for conveying rainwater and
lightly contaminated water containing solids with a diam-
eter of up to 20 mm. Its areas of application include cellar
drainage, keeping pits and shafts dry, emptying collecting
basins, as an emergency pump in the event of flooding, as
a circulation pump for garden ponds etc.
Removing the suction strainer allows flat suction to a re-
sidual water level of 5 mm.
The CH150WA pump type is suitable for the disposal of
chemical aggressive drainage water e.g. salt water
(up to 15%) from water softening devices and brine from
condensing boilers. For chemically aggressive media a
consultation is necessary because the resistance of the
pump materials must be checked.
Substances that grind like emery or others that attack its
basic material may destroy the pump. This pump is not
suitable for use on media containing admixtures of abra-
sive dirt, sand, sludge or clay.
The temperature of the conveyed liquid may go up to
35°C. The C150WA type may go up to a maximum of 60°C
for a short time. The maximum density of the conveyed
liquid is 1040 kg/m³.

3.2. Types of use

The motor is designed for the S1 (continuous) mode of
operation, with a max. switching rate of 15 switching op-
erations / hour. The hydraulics are suitable for permanent
continuous operation.

3.3. Construction

The fully submersible unit consists of the motor, the pump
housing and the appropriate blade wheel. All important
components are generously dimensioned.

3.3.2. Motor
The motor consists of a stator and the motor shaft with
the rotor set. The lead for supplying power is designed
for the maximum mechanical power in accordance with
the characteristic curve or data plate of the pump. The ca-
ble entries and the lead are sealed watertight against the
conveyed medium. The shaft bearings are robust, mainte-
nance-free and permanently greased roller bearings.

Warning of rotating blade wheel
Do not touch the rotating blade wheel or reach th-
rough the discharge outlet into the pump chamber.
During operation, never reach into the pump cham-
ber or touch rotating parts. Before performing main-
tenance or repair work, shut the machine off and let
the rotating parts come to a standstill.
Motor cooling
The cooling jacket ensures adequate motor cooling even if
the motor housing is exposed.
3.3.3. Pump housing
The pump housing is fitted with a discharge outlet
G 1 ¼" AG.
3.3.4. Blade wheel
The blade wheel is fastened on the motor shaft and is driv-
en by it. The blade wheel is an open multivane impeller.
