8.6 The STB Vendor ID Screen

Set Top Box (STB) devices with dynamic IP addresses sometimes don't renew their IP addresses before
the lease time expires. This could lead to IP address conflicts if the STB continues to use an IP address that
gets assigned to another device. Use this screen to configure the Vendor IDs of connected STBs, so the
Zyxel Device can automatically create static DHCP entries for them when they request IP addresses.
Click Network Setting > Home Networking > STB Vendor ID to open this screen.

8.7 The Wake on LAN Screen

Use this screen to remotely turn on a device on the LAN network. To use this feature, the remote device
must also support Wake On LAN.

Click this switch to enable or disable the Zyxel Device to provide public IP addresses by DHCP
server. When the switch turns blue
Click this switch to enable or disable the ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) proxy. When the
switch turns blue , the function is enabled. Otherwise, it's not.
Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
Click Apply to save your changes.
DESCRIPTION
These are STB's Vendor Class Identifiers (DHCP option 60). A Vendor Class Identifier is usually
used to inform the DHCP server a DHCP client's vendor and functionality.
