Chapter 3 Operation Firmware Upgrades You can upgrade one or two VE883 units in your setup using Firmware Upgrade Utility from PCs installed at the VE883T or the VE883R’s side. Note: To upgrade both the VE883T and VE883R in your environment, make sure they are powered on and connected via a duplex fiber optic cable.
