Technical Manual & Parts Lists 1317A AUTO FLANGER OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS: MAIN SCREEN At power-up the machine displays this screen. The machine will not start until all five “Ready” conditions are met. With the machine unloaded, all the conditions should be ready except Panel Trailing Edge Eye.

Technical Manual & Parts Lists The blank area to the left of the time display will show the machine piece counter. Press it to reset the daily piece count and access the machine monitor information. Also shown on the main screen is the sew time for the previous panel. FOOT PEDALS: There are four foot pedals located in front of the console.

The machine will sew up to the first corner, sew the first corner, then sew the next side up to the LAW TAG insertion position and stop (if enabled).
Technical Manual & Parts Lists SETUP SCREEN The SETUP screen provides access to various machine manual functions, settings adjustments, and other machine information. In the SERVICE MODE screen you can sew manually at HIGH SPEED. You can actually sew a complete panel while in this mode, manually turning corners and cutting the flange, You also have the option of sewing with or without the conveyor running (useful when doing maintenance on the sewing head).

There are multiple setting pages that allow the control and adjustment of various functions of the machine. Pressing the dark area above each setting displays information about each setting. The + & - buttons can be held down to scroll fast or pressed momentarily for fine adjustment.
Technical Manual & Parts Lists LAST CORNER ADJUSTMENTS: #1. The Finish Guide in front of the sewing head shifts “in” to control the over-sew alignment on the last corner. It should shift when the unsewn portion of the last side has just passed the guide. This is controlled by the Finish Guide Count (Setting #36).

Sew Head Corner Speed (#10) controls the speed of sewing around the corners. Adjust as needed to get a flat corner sew and to be synchronous with the corner rotation speed.
