This applies, in particular, for persons who only operate and/or work on the unit occasionally (e.g. for maintenance and repair). Persons who have difficulty reading must receive particularly thorough instruction.

Tools Always count the number of tools in your possession before starting work on the machine.

Malfunctions of the control systems and uncontrolled machine movements may occur at temperatures outside this range. Protect against climatic influences, such as electrostatic charges, lightning strikes, hail, storm damage, high humidity, salinity of the air in coastal regions.

    Technical Manual & Parts Lists Thumbwheels The first thumbwheel (#1) on the left sets the stitch count for the SLOW START feature after the last ruffle. This reduces the sewing speed for a few stitches to help the material feed to the puller before the machine goes to high speed. The stitch count equals twice the number shown on the thumbwheel.

    Technical Manual & Parts Lists Efka Control Box The sewing machine is powered by the Efka motor controller located under the table. It has its Fig. 3 own on/off switch which should be left on at all times. It also has some small buttons and LED's on the front to indicate the enabled functions.
