POWER SUPPLY

Install the cord and outlet according to the
specifications below.
The power distribution work should be done by an
electrical contractor.
● Use an AC120V power supply with a
consumption rating.
If the product is used with other electric appliances,
set the corresponding number of outlets.
● The wiring should be appropriate for the rated
power consumption.
● Set the outlet within the reach of the cord and
high enough from the floor so that water does
not reach it. The length of the power cord
is 1 m (39-3/8").
Do not connect the power plug to the outlet until the
installation is completed. There is danger of malfunction.

WATER SUPPLY

● The SpaLet toilet uses solenoid valves which are
fast acting or quick closing valves. The use of
water hammer arrestors is strongly recommended
for this product. All piping behind the walls
should be properly secured and fastened.
● Only use potable water as the water supply.
Using a different water supply (industrial water,
well water, etc.) may cause the durability of the
electrical and mechanical components to
deteriorate, resulting in an accident or malfunction.
● The water pressure must be more than
0.175MPa/25 PSI (hydrostatic pressure) and
0.10MPa/14.5 PSI (flow pressure) and 17L/min.
when flowing.
● If the water pressure is higher than
0.75MPa/109 PSI, decompress the pressure
by using a decompression valve.

MINIMUM INSTALLATION CLEARANCE

For the required minimum installation clearance,
refer to the figure below.
* 1 A space of 70 mm (2-3/4") or more on each side of
the product is recommended. If it is less than 70 mm
(2-3/4"), it may hinder the operation.
* 2 Place the water shutoff valve to 2" (50 mm) from
the wall.
Meets the Americans with Disabilities Act Guidelines
and ANSI A117.1 Requirements for Accessible and
Usable Building Facilities-Check Local Codes.

INSTALLATION POSITION OF THE REMOTE CONTROL
On the left side
a
b
Install the remote control on the left wall when facing
the SpaLet unit, so that it is on the same side as the
remote control signal receiver as far as possible. If,
for any chance, the remote control has to be installed
on the right side, check if the receiver will receive
the signal, beforehand. Moreover, if the wall is some
distance away from the SpaLet unit, for example due to
a layout such as a wash stand being installed between
the wall and the unit, the signal may not be received
by the receiver. If this is the case, erect a screen which
can reflect signals within 1300 mm (51-3/16") from the
center of the SpaLet bowl. This screen should be at
least 1100 mm (43-5/16") in height and should cover
the distance between the signal receiver and the remote
control's installed position. (Note that the conditions
may vary a little depending on the wall finish and color.)

DO NOT PLACE SEAT UNIT ON FLOOR!
Never place the seat unit on the floor, as this may result
in breakage of the seat unit's mounting bolts or
water supply inlet.
NOTES PRIOR TO INSTALLATION
Do not hold the hose
at the rear of the
SpaLet bowl.
* If the hose is
removed, then this
may cause leaks,
and the SpaLet will
not flush properly.
