To remove an adapter, complete the following steps:

Step 1.
Disengage the adapter by pulling it straight out of the riser cage.
Note: Remove one adapter at a time, do not pull out two adapters at the same time.
Step 2.
Install the fillers (if you had them) by sliding them into the slot toward the center of the PCIe riser
assembly.
If you are instructed to return the component or optional device, follow all packaging instructions, and use
any packaging materials for shipping that are supplied to you.

Install an adapter

Use this information to install an adapter.
Before you install an adapter, complete the following steps:
1. Read
"Safety" on page iii
2. Touch the static-protective package that contains the component to any unpainted metal surface on the
server; then, remove it from the package and place it on a static-protective surface.
Notes:
• ThinkSystem SR150 does not support ARI/SR-IOV
• QLogic QL41262 PCIe 25Gb 2-Port SFP28 Ethernet Adapter does not support shared storage V3700v2
and V5030 configurations.
