4.9. UNLOADING BELT
Cleaning the Unloading conveyor
In order for the belt to unload correctly and with optimal performance, it should be completely unloaded each
time it is used. To do this, close the unloading door and leave the belt running until no mix remains.
Weekly, completely clean the unloading belt by removing its cover and removing the accumulated mix
remains.
Check and Adjust the Chain Tension
To adjust the tension of the chain, the tensioning bolts of the bearings must be tightened on both sides of the
belt, so that the drive shaft moves completely aligned. See figure 4.18.
A quick check that the chain is tight enough is to stretch with the hand of the central part upwards, and check
that the maximum arrow that is produced is around 2 inches.
If the chain is worn or stretched, it must be replaced by a new one, dismantling the chain by the link. See
figure 4.19
For safety reasons, checking and adjusting chain tension on the unloading belt should
be performed by qualified personnel.
