MT HORIZONTAL MIXER WAGON.
1.3.
MIXER MAIN PARTS
The mixing system is of horizontal type, formed by a discontinuous auger, which is composed of :
-
paddles,
-
continuous augers,
-
a lightened auger of plate and
-
two beaters driven by hydraulic motors,
within a triangular tub, open at the top.
The mixing principle is based on the movement of the product, by means of the horizontal auger, from the
tub's outer edges to the centre where the product rises and then falls, due to gravity, down the tub's outer
edges.
The beaters facilitate product circulation from the centre of the tub to the front and to the rear.
Using this system a homogeneous mix is obtained in minutes.
There are two models of horizontal mixers wagons available:
Standard mixer: The loading must be done manually with the assistance of appropriate loading
machinery or automatic loading systems.
Silo cutter mixer: This third model comes with a cutting and loading system based on a lever arm
with cutters attached to its end. The rotation, elevation, and descent movements in this system
are operated hydraulically. The cutters shred the silage in a downward motion from a height of
15 feet aprox. (4.5 meters), and the shredded silage falls into the tub by gravity.
Using the silo cutter system, it is possible to load the mixer in minutes, becoming totally independent, so
there is no need of other loading machinery.
The silo cutter mixer allows the silage to be well conserved, maintaining all of its energetic properties, with
no deterioration at all, till the delivery.
Furthermore, both types of mixers are equipped standard with an electronic weight system, which allows
that the quantity of each mixed ingredient into the ration is controlled at all times.
