Removing the Operation
Software
You can remove the operation software from the UCP-
8060 following the procedure below. You cannot remove
the system setup utility.
1
Select the operation software to be removed on the
Main Screen.

Press the select L button (Menu).
The Menu display appears.

Select Remove by turning the jog roller, then press the
select R button (Enter).
The Remove display appears.

Press the select R button (Yes).
The confirmation message appears. Check that the
selected software is the version of the operation
software to be removed.

Press the select R button (Yes).
The selected operation software is removed. When
this is completed, the Main Screen appears.
The Main Screen appears.
Note
If the operation software is protected, it cannot be updated.

Protecting the Operation
Software
If the operation software is protected, updating, deleting,
or installing of the operation software is prevented. You
can protect the operation software following the procedure
below.
1
Select the operation software to be protected on the
Main Screen.

Press the select L button (Menu).
The Menu display appears.

Select Info by turning the jog roller, then press the
select R button (Enter).
The Info display appears.
4
Press the select R button (Protect) to set the Protect to
On.
The protection is set.
5
Press the select L button (Back).
The Menu display appears.
6
Press the select L button (Back).
The Main Screen appears.
To cancel the protection
Set Protect to Off in step 4.
