3 Initial use

This chapter tells you everything you need to know
to set up and use your devolo Giga Bridge. We de-
scribe how you connect the devolo Giga Bridge,
forward the fibre-optic Internet signal from the
ONT to the router or use the devolo Giga Bridge as
an in-home LAN expansion. In addition, we briefly
describe the devolo software.

devolo Giga Bridge
For the permitted voltage range for operat-
ing the device and the power consumption,
refer to the type plate on the rear of the de-
vice. For additional technical information on
our products, refer to the product area at
www.devolo.global.

Only use device indoors in dry conditions
CAUTION! Damage to telephone, DSL
and/or TV services when connected to
non-cleared lines
Only use the device on cleared—exclusively
available—telephone or coaxial cables
Note: The devolo Giga Bridge is only intended to
be used on cleared—exclusively available—tele-
phone or coaxial cables. Free line availability
without third-party devices must be determined
before connecting the devolo Giga Bridge.
