8. FUNCTIONALITY AND ADJUSTMENT OF THE TEMPERATURE
ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT
To set the desired temperature, press the key "
" on the thermostat (Fig. 7.1). Each time
it is pressed, the light indicator goes from left to right.
When the indicator is on the left, the appliance is on minimum (warmest temperature). To
select a colder temperature, press the control repeatedly until the rightmost light indicator
turns on (coldest temperature); when it is pressed again, the leftmost light indicator turns on.
When the indicator is in the centre, the appliance is at a medium temperature.
MECHANICAL THERMOSTAT
If the appliance is equipped with a mechanical thermostat for automatic temperature
maintenance and automatic defrost, bear in mind that the refrigerator is already set to the
optimum operating temperature.
To regulate the temperature, turn the knob positioned inside the fridge, in a clockwise
direction (towards "MAX") in order to lower the temperature, and in an anti-clockwise
direction (towards "MIN") to increase it.
9. EXTRAORDINARY MAINTENANCE AND ASSISTANCE
Cleaning the refrigerator:
Before starting to clean the refrigerator, make sure it is not connected to the mains
electricity. If connected, unplug the appliance from the electrical supply.
OUTSIDE
wash the outside of the refrigerator with lukewarm water, rinse with cold water and dry
with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive or aggressive products.
Cleaning and maintenance of the condenser must be performed only by authorised
after-sales staff.
INSIDE
Remove the internal shelves, the grilles (or the basket) and the containers and clean
using lukewarm water with the addition of baking soda or vinegar.
Rinse and dry carefully with a soft cloth.
Completely avoid the use of abrasive products, detergents or soaps. in order to avoid
the formation of mould or unpleasant smells, unplug the appliance, empty it and clean
the inside and leave the door half open.
