number of cartridges per RAID set is 80. If you select 1700 GB per
cartridge, the number of cartridges per RAID set is 1.

assume a RAID 5 configuration on the storage array with
"global hot" spare. If a "global hot" spare is not used, the
total capacity is increased by 400GB. If two "global hot"
spares are used, the total capacity is decreased by 400GB.

the DX-Series controller serial port.
Displaying diagnostic data is included in the DX-Series controller
software. It collects status information from the controller and the array
so it can be analyzed by Quantum.
When trouble shooting any hardware failure within the
Tech Tip:
DX-Series hardware, have the diagnostic data prior to
calling Quantum customer support.
To display diagnostic data:
1 Connect the service PC to the DX-Series controller (see
the Controller
on page 113).
2 At the system login prompt, type setup (all lower case characters)
and press
<Enter>
The system prompts you for a password.
