TRELLIS ASSEMBLY
(Refer to Drawing)
On clean flat surface lay the left post so that screw pilot holes are facing toward you and the
⅞ x 1½" holes are facing up. Insert the ⅞ x 3 x 56¾" rail and the ⅞ x 1½ x 56¾" bottom rail into
holes at the bottom of the post; then continue inserting the ten center cross rails into the remaining
ten routed holes (make sure screw pilot holes on all ⅞ x 1½ x 56¾" cross rails are facing the same
direction as the screw pilot holes of the left post). Take the right post and insert the opposite ends
of the cross rails into the routed holes, starting on the end with the bottom rails. Set trellis up;
slide the 1 x 1 x 87" square rail into the middle spot. Slide the remaining 1 x 1" rails in the outer
spots with the longer rails towards the middle of the trellis. Lay the trellis flat. Make sure the
cross rails are completely inserted into both posts and fasten with screws. Snap screw caps over
screw heads.
Apply glue to the inside edges of the 2 x 2" caps and arrowhead caps. Place 2 x 2" caps on the top
of posts and the arrowhead caps on top of the 1 x 1" square rails. Trellis is now ready for
installation.
INSTALLATION
(Refer to small inlay drawing) (Hardware for installation is in a separate bag.)
The Winchester Trellis is recommended for wall mounting and materials are provided for this type
of installation. There are two pilot holes in each post for wall mounting. (Put the small clear
backers onto the 6" screws so the screw heads fits into backers.) Place the 3" spacer tube between
wall and trellis and fasten with the 6" screw & backer combination. Snap the larger size screw caps
over backers
