ARBOR SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY
(Refer to Drawing 1) (Make 2)
On clean flat surface lay two arbor legs so routed holes face inward and pilot holes for screws are
facing up. Take one of the top/bottom rails and one center rail and insert the rails into the routed
holes in between legs. Next slide the 5 tubes through the center rail and into the bottom rail that
you just inserted into the arbor legs. Insert the top cross rail into one leg, then slide tube ends into
the holes as you bring the top rail down and insert it into the opposite leg. Make sure cross rails are
inserted completely into both legs and fasten with screws. Snap screw caps over screw heads.
ARBOR TOP ASSEMBLY
(Refer to Drawing 2)
Lay one of the bent arbor top rails on flat surface with routed holes for tubes facing up. Insert
tubes in each hole, set the other bent arbor top over the ends of the tubes. Fasten the bent tops to
the center 3 tubes with screws. Snap screw caps on screw heads. Set the flared ends of the arbor
top assembly onto trellis side panels, screw caps on side panels should face the outside of the arbor.
Arbor is now ready for installation.
INSTALLATION
In desired location, set the arbor in place and mark where ground anchors will need to be inserted.
Remove arbor; using a block of wood to protect the flared edges of the ground anchors, pound the
anchors into the marked spots. (If ground is extremely hard, loosen or soak soil before inserting
ground anchors). Set the arbor into the ground anchors.
In windy areas it is recommended that you use the four extra ¾" screw and caps to fasten the arbor
to the ground anchors. Drill a small pilot hole in the ground anchors and fasten.
