Suction Sieve
The suction sieve prevents the entry of large
particles in the work area [pump chamber] of the
pump and thus offers additional safety against
least anticipated errors. To avoid electrostatic
load, the strainer is connected to the pump with
a grounding cable. The sieve is placed on the
suction port with metal contact inside the seal.
The SIHIdry system should not be operated
without the suction sieve. The suction sieve
insert is included in the scope of supply.
The SIHIdry system should not be operated
without the suction sieve.
Suction Check Valve
The suction check valve prevents, in an event
on the suction side of the vacuum pump, gas
from migrating from the discharge high pressure
back to the vacuum vessel. Also, the back
venting of the vacuum pump is not allowed.
The SIHIdry system should not be operated
without the suction check valve or actuated
suction valve [Ball Valve or Butterfly Valve]
