Your metal detector is an example of superior design and craftsmanship. The following inst-
ructions will help you to maintain your detector so that you may enjoy it for years to come.
● Handle the detector gently and carefully. Blows and falls can damage circuits and
housing, thus leading to false readings.
● Use the detector only in normal ambient temperatures.
● Temperature extremes shorten the life of electrical components and may cause damage
to the housing.
● Keep the detector away from dust and dirt as this can cause premature wear of parts.
● Only clean the device with a damp cloth. Do not use chemicals, strong detergents or
solvents for cleaning.
The following information will help you if you have problems with your detector.
Your detector sends false signals while searching.
The sensitivity (SENSITIVITY) is set too high. Adjust the sensitivity lower until the false sig-
nal disappears. Remember to swing the search ring slowly. Some false readings are caused
by heavily rusted metal if the false signal repeats over the same spot.
The LCD display does not detect or recognize a target object when you move the
search ring over it. Several tones sound above the target.
This happens when there is more than one target found in the ground you are swinging
over. If it is a rare metal that the detector does not detect, the indicator will not detect it.
Some oxidized targets cause false readings. However, it could also be that the sensitivity
(SENSITIVITY) is set too high.
Your detector is unstable in operation and sounds a pulsing, distorted tone.
It may be that another detector is being operated in your area or there are power lines in
the vicinity.
