2. SAFETY
Important Safety Instructions
• Dangerous high voltage and high temperature exist inside the UPS. Study the operation and maintenance
manual. Abide by the instructions and relative laws during the installation to avoid accidents and equipment
damage. Safety instructions in this manual act as supplementary for the local safety instructions. Numeric will
not assume liabilities caused by not following safety instructions.

2.1 Safety notes

2.1.1 220/230/240VAC voltage may still exist at UPS terminal even with no connection to utility power
2.1.2 Ensure to ground the UPS before starting it to avoid the risk of fatal shocks
2.1.3 Don't open or damage batteries. Battery-liquid is poisonous and harmful
2.1.4 Avoid short circuiting positive and negative ends of the battery as it might cause a fire
2.1.5 Don't disassemble the UPS cover as there is risk of an electric shock
2.1.6 Check for high voltage before touching the battery
2.1.7 Working environment and storage will affect the lifetime and reliability of the UPS
Avoid the UPS from working under following environment for long time
• Area where humidity and temperature is out of the specified range (Temperature: 0°C~40°C,
Relative humidity: 5%-95%)
• Direct sunlight or location near a heat source
• Area with excessive vibrations
• Area with erosive gas, flammable gas, excessive dust, etc.
• Keep the UPS in a well-ventilated area to prevent components from overheating
