  • Page 3 Welcome! This guide will walk you through step-by-step how to install and get your Lockly Lux Compact up and running. Installation generally takes less than 30 minutes. If you have any questions please reference our online support at: Lockly.com/support or call (669) 500-8835 for help.
  • Page 4 Preparation To complete the installation you will need: Phillips Screwdriver Flathead Screwdriver Tape measure or ruler Pliers Screwdriver with drill bits (Optional) Drilling is not required to install the lock, and is optional. However if you are installing your lock on a brand new door, a drill is required if there are no holes prepared for lock installation.

  • Page 6 Step 1 ADJUSTING LOCKSET TO YOUR DOOR ORIENTATION There are 4 common door-opening directions, the lockset ships default for is for RIGHT IN-SWING Doors. You may skip this step if you are sure your door is a Right In-Swing Door. Otherwise, see the illustrations below to confirm your door opening direction and change your latch throw orientation if needed.
  • Page 7 Step 1 ADJUSTING LOCKSET TO YOUR DOOR ORIENTATION continued RIGHT OUT-SWING DOOR Make sure the latch throw is correctly oriented as shown to fit your right out-swing door. RIGHT IN-SWING DOOR Make sure the latch throw is correctly oriented as shown to fit your right in-swing door.
  • Page 8 Step 1 ADJUSTING LOCKSET TO YOUR DOOR ORIENTATION continued HOW TO ADJUST THE LATCH THROW The Factory setting or the throw is for right in-swing door. You do not need to change direction if you have a right in-swing door. Here is here is how to change the latch throw direction.
  • Page 9 Step 2 INSTALLING THE LOCKSET (PART F) When installing the lockset, ensure the latch is at the top position and deadbolt is at the bottom. Use provide screws to secure the lockset position.
  • Page 10 Step 3 CHANGING HANDLE FOR RIGHT OR LEFT SWING DOORS Determine right swing or left swing door While facing the door from the inside, if hinges are on the right side you have the right swinging door. If hinges on the left side you have a left swinging door. The lock ships set for right swing doors.

  • Page 13 Step 3 CHANGING HANDLE FOR RIGHT OR LEFT SWING DOORS continued Changing the Interior Handle Orientation Securely screw clockwise as shown Remove the screw by turning counter to complete your handle orientation clockwise and rotate the handle 180° change. in the direction of the arrow as shown. Make sure the screw hole is aligned with the marker as illustrated.
  • Page 14 Step 4 PREPARING LOCK FOR INSTALLATION If you drilled a hole in Preparation, use Slotted Barrel Extension and securely tighten with a flat head screwdriver by turning it clockwise onto the lock. If you did not drill a hole in Preparation, you can leave this pole removed.
  • Page 15 Step 5 INSTALLING THE LOCK (EXTERIOR) Exterior Install the exterior lock as shown to the left by aligning the lock straight and passing the cable and attached rods through the lockset. Align the lock straight and press hard (if you use the Adhesive tape in step 4.4) to secure the top of the lock.
  • Page 16 Step 6 INSTALLING THE LOCK (INTERIOR) Insert Positioning Rods into the holes to the left and right of the Spindle Interior The holes are located at the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions.   • Page 17 Step 6 INSTALLING THE LOCK (INTERIOR) continued Pull the cable from the lock exterior through the rectangular hole underneath the positioning rods and spindle. *Secure top with Remove the position rods replace them with screws Tighten clockwise until the mounting plate is secure.
  • Page 18 Step 6 INSTALLING THE LOCK (INTERIOR) continued Plug cable that is coming through the door into the lock interior . Match red side of the plug with red on socket - insert tightly. NOTE: If you need to disconnect the cable, make sure to press the snap tab to release the plug before carefully pulling it out.
  • Page 19 Step 6 INSTALLING THE LOCK (INTERIOR) continued Once the lock interior is flush against the mounting plate, secure the lock to the plate by screwing clockwise using provided screws Insert 4 AA batteries into the lock by aligning the positive and negative orientation markings on the batteries to the battery chamber.
  • Page 20 Step 7 INSTALLING THE DOOR STRIKE Install the strike box as shown below. Open the door frame, install box, then the strike plate and fix it with screws. After the installation is completed, check if the lock is working smoothly. From the INDOOR, while the door is open, lift the handle to check if the lock opened and closed smoothly and whether the deadbolt and latch are fully extended to the strike.
