Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Use the following notes as reference information for installing the expansion
power supply.
N
The SFI/O board monitors two circuits for trouble condition. Comparators
on the expansion power supply are used to monitor the output of each
"AUX" tap (after the PTC) and the battery input.
N
The AUX power is monitored, and the trouble state is activated if AUX
voltage fails. If the voltage drops below 18.26V or if either PTC is tripped.
The range of voltages across which the power monitors could trip is
17.18V to 19.38V. This range considers the tolerance of the resistors as
well as the 12V reference. Two comparators are wired "OR" to produce a
common active low output if either circuit is faulted.
N
The battery connection is monitored, and the trouble condition is set if the
batteries are not connected, or if the battery voltage falls below 18.26V.
The trip range is 17.18V to 19.38V.
