Before removing the hard drive, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:

Remove the hard drive:
NOTE: Use minimal force when lifting the locking bar up on the ZIF connector and disconnecting the cable.
1. Open the zero insertion force (ZIF) connector (1) to release the hard drive cable from the system board.
