10.1.5 Spittoon bowl and spittoon trap
CAUTION
Clean the spittoon trap at least once daily.
The spittoon bowl should be cleaned as needed.
1) Take out the trap cap and trap.
2) To disassemble it, turn the spittoon bowl gently
left and right while lifting it up.
3) Clean the cap, trap and bowl with sponge or
soft fabric soaked in neutral detergent or
disinfection alcohol.
4) Assemble in the reverse order.
WARNING
Completely dry the outer surface of the bowl when it is assembled.
▶ Otherwise, water may flow inside of the dental chair unit and cause electrical

If rubber packing gets damaged or not properly seated when assembling, water
leakage may occur.
CAUTION
Do not leave a cleaning solution with color in the spittoon bowl too long. After
cleaning the bowl with the solution, drain it out immediately, rinse out and wipe
the bowl with a sponge.
Do not rub the bowl with abrasive material such as iron sponge, iron brush or
other solid scrub materials.
▶ The bowl may get scratched or discolored.
