Changing Buckle Position

Fully Loosen Harness Straps
Place your hand between the harness
cover and harness strap. You may need
to undo the harness cover or move the
chest clip down. Push down on harness
release lever (through opening in pad)
while pulling out on harness straps as
shown.
2 Unbuckle Harness
Press in the red button to release the
buckle tongues.
Buckle Tongue

Fully Recline the Car Seat
Place one hand on the back of the car
seat. With your other hand, squeeze the
recline handle and rotate the car seat
until it is fully reclined.

Metal Retainer
Locate the Buckle's
Metal Retainer
The buckle's metal retainer is
located in the opening below the
recline handle.
Push the harness adjustment strap
to the side to fully reveal the metal
retainer.
Rotate Metal Retainer

and Push It Up Through
Buckle Slot in Shell
From Top of Seat,

Pull Buckle and Buckle
Cover Out of Shell and Pad
Slide Buckle Cover into

Chosen Slot in Pad
Buckle cover only goes through slot in

pad. It lays fl at underneath the pad as

shown.
Insert the buckle's metal retainer into same slot as buckle
The buckle must face out.
Pull Buckle's Metal Retainer

Completely Through Pad and
Shell
Check Buckle

Pull up on buckle to make sure it is
secured.
The buckle must not pull out.
Check your child's fit often. If you
cannot achieve a snug harness fit for your child, see page 13-14.

Failure to place buckle's metal retainer completely through
pad and shell can result in serious injury or death.
