The temporary PTO coil is made using 82T of #30 gauge enamel wire wound on a 2" section of a
McDonald's soda straw. This straw fatter than normal and is a bit larger than ¼" in diameter. The
diameter is not highly critical. This is a dummy inductor used to make sure that the PTO oscillator
works, and later on that the LO mixer, filtering, and LO amp work as well. If a more normal ¼"
diameter straw is used, use 95T.
