    Product Description Infinity series winches are air powered, planetary geared units designed for and intended for use as utility winches, with a Mechanism Classification of M5. They shall not be used for lifting or moving personnel. They may be used to pull or lift loads at various wire rope take-off angles.

    Installation Prior to installing the product, carefully inspect it for possible shipping damage. Products are supplied fully lubricated from the factory. Check oil levels and adjust as necessary before operating product. Refer to “Lubrication,” p. 24 for recommended oils and lubrication intervals.     I I n n s s t t a a l l l l a a t t i i o o n n Air Supply The air supply must be clean, free from moisture and lubricated to ensure optimum motor performance. Foreign particles, moisture and lack of lubrication are the primary causes of premature motor wear and breakdown.

    O O p p e e r r a a t t i i o o n n Automatic Drum Band Brake The automatic drum band brake is a spring applied, air released brake which utilizes an air actuated, spring loaded cylinder, that automatically disengages brake when motor is operated.

    O O p p e e r r a a t t i i o o n n Limit Switches Limit switches are standard on -CE winches. Pre-set limit switch settings prevent winch wire rope payout and haul-in by stopping air flow to the winch motor when a set point has been reached.

    Inspection Inspection information is based in part on American Society of Mechanical Engineers Safety Codes (ASME B30.7).
