USER MANUAL BATMODE 2S/2S+ SYSTEM
2.8 UltraSoundGate of Avisoft Bioacoustics (optionally)
The BATmode system can be used with either up to four single-channel UltraSoundGates 116Hnbm,
one single-channel UltraSoundGate 116Hnbm and up to three single-channel UltraSoundGates
116Hnbm-r or a four-channel UltraSoundGate 416Hnbm from Avisoft Bioacoustics to record high
quality acoustic data from bat calls.
In contrast to the UltraSoundGate 116Hnbm-r, the UltraSoundGates 116Hnbm and 416Hnbm also
serve as hardware licensors for Avisoft Bioacoustics' RECORDER software. Since this RECORDER
software is essential for the operation of the BATmode system, at least one UltraSoundGate with
license must always be connected to the BATmode system.
