To select cruise control: press rocker

To select the variable limiter: press rocker

Activating cruise control or the variable lim‐
iter
Press rocker switch 2 up (SET/+) or down

(SET/-).
The current speed is stored and maintained
by the vehicle (cruise control) or limited (vari‐
able limiter) when you take your foot off the
accelerator pedal.

Press rocker switch 3 up (RES).

The last stored speed is called up and the
vehicle maintains this speed (cruise control)
or does not exceed it (limiter).
If the last stored speed has previously been
deleted, the currently driven speed is stored.
% When you switch off the vehicle, the last
speed stored is cleared.
When you activate cruise control or Active
Distance Assist DISTRONIC, the last speed
stored for the variable limiter is cleared.
Increasing/decreasing the stored speed
Press rocker switch 2 up/down to the pres‐

sure point.
The stored speed is increased or reduced by
1 km/h.
or
Press and hold rocker switch

the pressure point.
The stored speed is increased or reduced in
increments of 1 km/h.
or
Press rocker switch 2 beyond the pressure
#
point.
The stored speed is increased or reduced by
10 km/h.
or
Press and hold rocker switch

The stored speed is increased or reduced in
increments of 10 km/h.

Accelerate the vehicle to the desired speed.

Adopting the detected speed
If cruise control/variable limiter is activated and
Traffic Sign Assist has detected a speed restric‐
tion sign with a maximum permissible speed and
2 up/down to
this is displayed in the instrument cluster:

The maximum permissible speed shown by
the traffic sign is stored and the vehicle
maintains or does not exceed this speed.
Deactivating cruise control or the variable
limiter
Press rocker switch

If you brake, deactivate ESP
intervenes, cruise control is deactivated. The
variable limiter is not deactivated.
