Setting Up the Printer
Remove the ink tank from its protective cover.
z Always hold an ink tank by the grips (a) on the left and right side of the ink tank.
z To prevent poor print quality, spilling ink and staining, never touch the ink ports
(b) or the terminal (c) of an ink tank.
With the ink ports pointing down and the label facing in the direction
shown in the illustration below, insert the ink tank into the ink tank
holder.
z Always make sure that the ink tank is set in the correct direction and that the color
of the tank matches the slot. If the wrong color is inserted in a slot, the ink will mix
incorrectly in the tubes and printhead, causing the printer to print the wrong colors.
