G-H Negative output connector (-), Central adapter.
Connect the welding torch electrode terminal.
Use one as an alternative to the other according to the requirements of the torch used.
I
Plasma gas supply fitting. Connect the plasma gas supply pipe.
L
Shield gas supply fitting. Connect the shield gas supply pipe�
L1
LED. When this flashes, it indicates the HF generation phase for starting the pilot arc in manual operating mode
(section 5.2).
Flashing ends when the pilot arc is struck or after five seconds if the pilot arc is not struck.
L2
LED. When lit, this indicates that the console is in standby. "Second function" parameter set-up and gas tests are
possible in this mode.
L3
LED. When on, indicates console automatic or semi-automatic operating mode (section 5).
L4, L5, L6 LED. When on, they indicate that the parameters shown by displays D1, D2 and D3 can be adjusted by
means of knob M1� L5 or L6 flash to indicate "gas test" mode.
M
Master switch. Plasma console PW30 supply switch.
M1
Knob. This incorporates a pushbutton:
- press M1 for under 2 seconds to select parameter shown on displays D1, D2 and D3, to be adjusted by turning
M1�
The selected display to be adjusted is indicated by LEDs L4, L5 and L6.
The display selection disappears if M1 is not operated within 5 seconds.
- press M1 for longer than 2 seconds to access the console "second function" menu.
The functions, their status and values are indicated by displays D1, D2 and D3�
The "Second Functions" are described in section 7.

Auxiliary cooling circuit quick-fitting valve. Connect the red pipe of the console – auxiliary cooling unit ex-
tension (if available).

Auxiliary cooling circuit quick-fitting valve. Connect the blue pipe of the console – auxiliary cooling unit
extension (if available).

Main cooling circuit quick-fitting valve. Connect the red pipe of the console – power source – cooling unit
extension (33).
R
Main cooling circuit quick-fitting valve. Connect the blue pipe of the console – power source – cooling unit
extension (33).
S
Male connector. Connect the female connector of the console – power source – cooling unit extension (33).
SW1 Selector for inserting line termination resistor on CAN bus-1�
If the console is at one end of the CAN bus line (see example in fig. 2 without wire feeder (8)), SW1 must be in
ON position (resistor inserted).
If the console is at an intermediate position on the CAN bus line (see example in fig. 2) SW1 must be in OFF
position (resistor not inserted).

T1
Key. Select operating modes (section 5):
- press T1 for longer than 2 seconds to control Manual operation and starting
arc;
- press T1 for under 2 seconds to control Automatic operation.
T2
plasma gas test key.
- press T2 so that plasma gas emerges from the torch. LED L5 flashes to indicate
- press T2 a second time to stop plasma gas emerging from the torch. LED L5 goes off.
T3
shield gas test key�
- press T3 so that shield gas emerges from the torch. LED L6 flashes to indicate testing.
- press T3 a second time to stop shield gas emerging from the torch. LED L6 goes off.
Keys T2 and T3 can be used to bleed the system pipes. Gases can be bled from the TIG power source in the TEST
section.
