1. TO USE IN SAFETY

In order to operate the machine properly and safely, it is indispensable to read
carefully and follow warnings and instructions hereunder mentioned prior to its use.
The warnings and instructions on labels are attached to the places shown in the
figure below.
EXPLOSION AND FIRE!
● Replace the oil separator element, housing and
lubricant periodically as the instruction manual.
Lubricant degradation can cause explosion or fire.
● Any defect, distortion, or corrosion of the housing
can be causes for burst, spurt and explosion. If
there are such defect on the housing, must
replace it with a new housing.
HIGH PRESSURE AND HOT LUBRICANT AND AIR!
DO NOT loosen the housing during operation and
while residual pressure is in the housing. High
pressure and hot lubricant and air spurt, and can
be causes of serious burn or injury for you.
Read the instruction manual before inspection
and replacement of oil separator
● Shut the unit down, disconnect the power and
relieve internal pressure of the unit before the
work.
● Be careful for the hot surface of the oil separa-
tor housing.
● To get off the housing, must use the special
wrench for the housing. An ordinary filter
wrench or pipe wrench will damage the hous-
ing and can be causes for burst and spout
accident.
● Replace the housing and O-ring with new ones
at the same time of the element replacement.
For details, please refer to the instruction
manual.
USE THE GENUINE SYNTHETIC OIL ONLY.
● Always use the "NEW HISCREW OIL NEXT" (Hitachi's
genuine synthetic oil) for the air compressor. DO NOT
mix with any other brand's oil.
● Replace the oil regularly as scheduled by the
instruction manual.
HIGH-TEMPERATURE AND HIGH-PRESSURE OIL!
Before replacing the oil, stop the compressor, disconnect
the power and make sure that the discharge pressure
gauge indicates 0(zero) MPa.
Be careful of the stopped air compressor in an automatic
stop/restart control because it may restart without
pressing the START button.
HIGH-TEMPERATURE OIL SPOUTING!
DO NOT open the oil-draining valve during the air
compressor is running. High-temperature oil is spouted,
and can be causes of serious burn and injury to you.
DO NOT touch the air compressor during it is running
or immediately after it has stopped, as components are
quite hot and can be causes of burn and injury to you.

Pressure gauge
Oil level shall be checked by the oil level
gauge during compressor loading operation.
If the oil level is between upper and lower red
lines, it is normal.
When the oil level is above the upper red line,
oil content is too much.
Stop the compressor, and check the pressure
gauge to confirm that no positive pressure is
inside the separator. After turning off the
power, drain excess oil from the drain port of
the oil separator tank.
When the oil level is below the lower red line,
oil content is too low.
