General Warnings
• It is compulsory to fit a sump below the water heater if
mounted in a suspended ceiling, under the roof or above
living area. A drain connected to the sewer is required.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Before the protective cover is removed, make sure that the
power supply is switched off in order to prevent any risk of
injury or electrocution. The electrical installation must include
a single-pole cut-off unit upstream of the water heater (fuse
holder, circuit breaker with a contact opening distance of at
least 3 mm, and 30 mA differential circuit breaker).
Earthing is mandatory. A special terminal bearing the marking
is designed for this purpose.
MAINTENANCE
The safety unit's draining device must be switched on pe-

riodically (at least once a month). This operation enables
any limescale deposits to be removed and to check that it
is not blocked.
• To drain the appliance, turn it off, shut off the cold water
supply, then drain it using the safety unit handle having
already turned on a cold water valve.
• If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer, the after-sales service or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid any danger.
