Assembling the sensor head at the APAS assistant
Damage to the sensor head caused by falling
The sensor head is held at the flange of the APAS assistant by the
clamping ring.
f Hold the sensor head until the clamping ring is completely closed.
f In case of overhead assembly and with a sensor head weight > 3 kg,
a lifting tackle has to be used.
Damage to the sensor head if assembled under voltage
During assembly of the sensor head at the APAS assistant, electrical
contacts are connected with each other. If the contacts of the APAS
assistant are supplied with voltage, this may result in damage to the
sensor head.
f Only mount the sensor head at the APAS assistant when the APAS
assistant is switched off.
1. Put the sensor head CDE (1) onto the flange (2) of the APAS assistant
in the correct position.
2. Connect the two flanges with the two halves (3) of the clamping ring.
3. Tighten the two hexagon socket head cap screws ISO 4762-M4x16-
8.8 (4) applying 2.8 Nm.
4. Before the commissioning, verify proper assembly of the sensor head.
