Setting the puller lowering position and pressure:

Fig. 19: When using materials of normal thickness, the
transport rollers 4 of the puller should be in the lowered
position at small distance A (0.1-0.2 mm) above the wor-
king plate.
If the transport roller pressure onto the working plate is too
high, the cloth layers may be dislocated toward each other
during the transport.
If thick material is used, the lowering position and there-
fore the pressure of the transport rollers must be adap-
ted to the material thickness.
The three downrollers 2 of the roller unit should exert
slight pressure onto the working plate.
Setting the distances of the transport rollers and of
the down rollers to the working plate:
1. Lower transport unit manually onto working plate (see
Section D, Programming Instructions, Selecting ma-
chine control inputs/outputs).
2. Turn machine off.
3. Transport rollers: To adjust distance A between wor-
king plate and transport rollers, change the position of
the pressure cylinder clamp 3 :
• Loosen the fixing screw 6 of the clamp 7 and
move the clamp along the puller shaft 8 . Move
clamp upward to reduce the distance or downward
to increase the distance.
• Check distance A using the cloth material to be
processed. The cloth should pe pulled easily un-
der the feed roller 4 and must neither warp
nor be pressed against the working plate. After the
cloth material has been removed, the feed roller
must not touch the working plate.
4. Tighten clamp fixing screw 6 .
5. Downrollers: To adjust the distance between the wor-
king plate and the downrollers 2 , change the posi-
tion of the pressure cylinder clamp 1 on the shaft:
• The roller fork should be lowered so far that the
profile 9 of the downrollers shows a distinct pres-
sure surface.
