6.4 Using the working channel

  ATTENTION  
Unsuitable accessory! Product damage!
Make sure that the accessories are of the appropriate length and diameter.
Only use accessories from KARL STORZ.
1.
If no instrument is inserted in the working channel, seal the proximal end of the working
channel with a plug (29100).
2.
Before inserting an instrument, attach the leaflet valve for single use (11301CA) to seal
the proximal end of the working channel.
3.
Place the distal tip in the straight position; see chapter Operating the deflection
mechanism [p. 19].
4.
Insert the accessory slowly and carefully, with closed jaws, into the working channel.

6.5 Activating the suction function

ü The suction valve is connected to the suction pump.
ü The suction pump is switched on.

Make sure there are no instruments in the suction channel.
2.
The instrument channel inlet should be sealed to prevent additional air from being drawn
in.
3.
Press the suction valve to activate the suction function.
