breakout code (breakout flag)
The ID3 tag field that identifies the way that advertisements will be inserted into the HLS stream delivered to the
computer or mobile device. Set the breakout code to 0. For more information, see the PCM-to-ID3 SDK Developer's
Guide.

CID (Content ID)
An encrypted representation of a watermark SID/timestamp combination Each ID3 tag includes a PC CID (Program
Content CID) and an FD CID (Final Distributor CID). The PC CID represents the PC EDUs included in the current ID3
tag. The FD CID represents the FD EDUs included in the current ID3 tag. The timestamp for both CIDs is rolled back
to the most recently "crossed" broadcast day start (3 a.m.), relative to the watermark timestamp of the most recent
EDU of the same type in the ID3 tag.
D
decoder
An application that decodes an audio stream and reports on Nielsen audio codes found in the stream.
distribution type (or watermarking level, audio code level)
Code that identifies the purpose of the code or watermark:
FD (Final Distributor): Final distributor of the video content such as a local broadcast affiliate or a cable
network.
PC (Program Content): Identifier of the content itself (often syndication content), not the distributor of the
content.
CC (Commercial Code): Identifier of a commercial or advertisement.
UK (Unknown): Identifier that indicates difficulty in decoding the watermark so the level is undefined.
DST/Brkout (DST/Breakout)
For the EDU, specifies whether the watermark timestamp was assigned during standard (STD) time or during daylight
saving time (DST).
