The PCM-to-ID3 SDK requires that the calling application maintain a system clock by
correctly setting the currentTime argument to the InputAudioData() function. This
setting must advance by 1 second for each second of audio content processed. An
incorrect currentTime value can result in a tag-duration error.

Meaning
Each ID3 tag includes a PC CID (PC Content ID) and an FD CID. The CID has two
components: a Nielsen SID and a Nielsen timestamp, both derived from recent Nielsen
watermarks. Consequently, the following must occur:
If the ID3 tag includes valid PC watermarks, the PC CID SID must be set to the value
of the PC watermark SID.
If the ID3 tag includes valid FD watermarks, the FD CID SID must be set to the value
of the FD watermark SID.
If the corresponding CID SID value is not set correctly, a CID SID error is declared.
Important
For any certification tests, a failure of the CID SID test is not unusual. If most of the CID
SID errors listed in the log file or noted in the Comma-Delimited Tag Listing are
associated with the watermark SID transitions that periodically occur, ignore the errors.
Example
The example below shows that there were 33 instances of CID SID errors. Because only
32 errors are tolerated, the test failed.
Release 1.8 Revision F
-54: Tag Time Error, Sequence Number xx: Tag is short but EDU not
filled.
-54: Tag Time Error, Sequence Number xx: Tag duration is less than
4 seconds.
-54: Tag Time Error, Sequence Number xx: Tag duration is greater
than 12 seconds.

Not used
Maximum number of errors tolerated before failure is
declared
If the watermark SID changes during PCM-to-ID3 SDK processing, it may take up to 20
seconds for the corresponding CID SID to reflect the change. During this transition period, the
CID SID may be set to 0, or it may retain the value of the previous SID. Either case is
reported as an error, but ignore such errors.
