Tag Number
The tag number indicates the order in which Validator detected the tag in the metadata
stream. This field is informational only; the tag number is not part of the ID3 tag.
Transport PID
The Transport PID uniquely identifies the metadata PES (packetized elementary stream)
that carries the Nielsen ID3 tags. Its setting is read from the MPEG-2 Program Map Table
(PMT).
PTS
The PTS field reports the presentation timestamp of the metadata PES packet in which
the Nielsen ID3 tag was found. The PTS value, which is truncated to the nearest second,
should match the PTS of the last audio packet presented to the PCM-to-ID3 SDK before
the ID3 tag was packaged and released.
If this value is not correctly set, the Nielsen ID3 tags may fall out of sync with the audio
stream, resulting in improper crediting. The PTS should advance at roughly the same rate
as the First and Last tag times.
PC CID
The PC CID is a 24-byte string that holds two encrypted values (SID and timestamp).
Under ideal conditions, the PC CID SID identifies the SID of the last PC watermark listed
among the EDUs of the current ID3 tag. The PCM-to-ID3 SDK requires 10 seconds or
more, however, to "latch onto" the proper PC SID. As a result, the PC CID may be
inaccurate (or set to "X100zdCIGeIlgZnkYj6UvQ") for 10 to 20 seconds after a SID
changes or disappears.
Under ideal conditions, the PC CID timestamp is a raw NAES 2 timestamp that translates
to the start of the current broadcast day (3 a.m. in the time zone where the NAES
encoder was operating). If the PC CID SID is set to 0 or is inaccurate, crediting ignores
the PC CID timestamp.
All CID timestamps are derived from the watermarks to which the PC CID SID
corresponds. They are not derived from the "current time" that your application supplies
to the PCM-to-ID3 SDK.
FD CID
The FD CID is a 24-byte string that holds two encrypted values (SID and timestamp).
