policy for observing DST that is not the same as that of the NAES watermark encoder
that generated the incoming watermarks, Validator may incorrectly report CID TS or
CID offset errors during the one-hour transition from DST to standard time. Unless
the faulty error reporting continues beyond 5 minutes after the transition, ignore all
reported errors during this 1-hour transition period.

Due to decoding errors, the tag contains watermarks with invalid time codes. The CID
timestamp offset value is calculated based on watermark timestamps. In fact, the
number of CID timestamp offset errors directly relates to the number of watermark
time warnings. Occasional decoding errors are to be expected and, after careful
examination of the log file and the ID3 tag listing, will be excused in most cases. (See
"Test 10 Result: Watermark Time Test" on page 30.)

The PCM-to-ID3 SDK may have reset the offset to 0 because watermark SIDs are in
transition. Although reported as an error, a setting of 0, in this case, is acceptable, if it
lasts for only one or two tags (10–20 seconds).

If the breakout type falls outside the range 00–99, inclusive, Validator reports an error. It
logs an informational message if the breakout type changes within the ID3 tag stream,
but does not declare such a change as an error.
Example
The example below shows Validator found no breakout errors. The test passed because
Validator allows up to one error.
