2. INSTALL THE TRACK
Before installing the track, measure the length of the track to
determine the centerline.
Begin with the camlocks in the open position. See Figure 15.
Mark the centerline of the track.
On unspliced tracks, starting in the middle, secure the track onto
each of the brackets using each camlock. Push the track upward
so the camlock feature rests in the groove of the top of the track.
Position the track to properly cover the window. For center draw
applications, align the centerline of the track with the centerline of
the window opening. See Figure 16a.
Starting in the middle, secure the track onto each of the brackets
using each camlock.
Turn the camlock arm to the right so the features inside the top
track groove bite in and hold. Once all the camlocks are closed, use
a screwdriver to tighten each camlock so the track is secure. See
Figure 16b.
If your track is spliced, on the center bracket, remove the camlock
from the bracket by unthreading it by hand. Leave the washer and
screw on the bracket. See Figure 17a.
Push the track upwards so the camlock features on all brackets but
the center rest in the groove of the top of the track. Position the
track to properly cover the window.
Starting with the brackets to the left and right of the center bracket,
secure the track using each camlock.
Turn the camlock arm to the right so the features inside the top
track groove bite in and hold. Once all the camlocks are closed, use
a screwdriver to tighten each camlock so the track is secure. See
Figure 17b.
Once the other brackets are secured, twist the screw in the center
bracket into place through the threaded hold in the center of the
splice, adjusting the splice placement slightly if necessary.
