Remove slot covers and install PCI cards

There are three slot covers. If you are installing three PCI cards, remove all three.

Install PCI Cards

Before you proceed with the installation of your PCI cards, you must first verify the card type you are installing. There are certain types of
cards that you cannot install in the OSS PE3R expansion slot. The OSS PE3R is a standard model, it uses 5V 32/64Bit PCI/PCI-X slot connector.
The OSS PE3R-3.3 used a 3.3V 64-bit PCI / PCI-X slot backplane.
The illustration below will give you an idea on what type of PCI card to plug into your 3slot Expansion chassis.

4.3.1 Types of Signaling PCI cards to use with PE3R

The standard PE3R uses a 5V 64-bit PCI / PCI-X slot baclplane. Below are the supported and compatible PCI signaling cards that you can plug
in to the slot.
1. Universal PCI 3.3V & 5V 32-bit cards
2. Universal PCI 3.3V & 5V 64-bit cards
3. 5V 32-bit PCI cards
4. 5V 64-bit PCI cards
