Stabilizer Channel Guides

Stabilizer Channel Guides have different properties depending on the shape, but generally they should
be mounted furthest away from each other, and on the side of the bed facing the front of the vehicle. This
is because it's the safest position, since the mass of the bed during braking or crash is at least partially
supported by the internal structure and furniture of the vehicle.
NOTE: Prior to installing the stabilizer channel guides, the excess length of the stabilizer channel guides
can be removed with a metal cutting tool.
NOTE: Quantity of screws for each stabilizer channel guide depends on the material of the wall and
backing of the unit. If installing on a unit with aluminum backing in the wall, use a minimum size of
#10 x 1" self-tapping screws. If installing on a unit with wood backing in the wall, use a minimum
size of #10 x 1" self-drilling screws.

Make sure the bed frame is in the fully extended position.
2.
Take the bottom end of the stabilizer channel guide (Fig. 27A) and slide it over the stabilizer guide
track bracket roller ends (Fig. 27B).
3.
Slide the stabilizer channel guide up to the bottom of the belt mounting bracket.
4. Install three #10 x 1" screws through the stabilizer channel guide; top, middle and bottom, inside the
middle of the stabilizer channel guide (Fig. 28A) and into the wall of the unit.
5.
Install the decorative top and bottom caps (Fig. 27C) into the top and bottom of the stabilizer channel
guide (Fig. 28A).
6.
Repeat steps 2-4 for the opposite side.
