192 Driving and parking
Starting the vehicle with the key in the stow‐
age compartment (emergency operation
mode)
If the vehicle does not start and the
key in the marked space See Owner's Manual
message appears in the multifunction display,
you can start the vehicle in emergency operation
mode.
Make sure that the marked space

Charging the starter battery before starting
the journey
If the vehicle battery is discharged, you can
receive a message on your smartphone. You can
then start the vehicle with the smartphone to
charge the battery. The vehicle is automatically
switched off after ten minutes.
