9. 4. 1. A and B Dial Tone Detection Parameters
The Dialer expects a certain minimum duration of dial tone to occur within a specified time
before attempting to dial. They are specified by the A and B timers in the first set of tables
below.
A
Minimum Tone Duration
0 = minimum; redial per R58/R78 †
1 = 200 ms; redial per R58/R78 †
2 = 400 ms; redial per R58/R78 †
3 = 1.0 sec; redial per R58/R78 †
4 = 2.55 sec; redial per R58/R78 †
5 = minimum; then continue dial out
6 = 200 ms; then continue dial out
7 = 400 ms; then continue dial out
8 = 1.0 sec; then continue dial out
9 = 2.55 sec; then continue dial out

Route 0 (615) is programmed with #56227. The ACS string is made up of :

#562 Wait for 200 ms of 425 Hz dial tone, for up to four seconds

9. 5. Character String
The Dialer has an Access Control Sequence (ACS) Token that allows character strings to be
contained in the ACS. This token may be used in the 6r5 ACS string.

In the string D1234D:
•
D
is the ACS Token (it must appear before and after the string)
•
1234 are the digits that are dialled.
9. 6. Programmable 100 ms Wait Timer
The 06N tells the Dialer to wait for "n" times 100 milliseconds.
9. 7. Programmable 1 Second Wait Timer
The 07N tells the Dialer to wait for "n" times 1 second.
