Folding and unfolding the wheelchair

This model has a crossbar system foldable seat.

UNFOLDING
Lean palms of your hands on the seat posts, positions A and B, and push them down until the wheelchair opens fully.
After opening the wheelchair, carefully check that the seat posts are well inserted on the four supports S.
While opening the wheelchair, be careful not to squeeze your fingers between the seat post and the supports or between the seat post and the frame post.
To make the operation easier, lift one rear wheel to reduce friction with the floor. To do so, grasp the backrest and slightly raise the wheelchair.
Now, with your free hand on the seat post, position A or B, push the seat post down onto the supports S.
Check that the seat posts are well inserted on the four supports S.
Lower the footrest (this operation is not necessary if the wheelchair is equipped with an automatic closure footrest).

FOLDING
Remove the cushion or any other soft or rigid supports from the seat and the backrest.
Raise the footrest (this operation is not necessary if the wheelchair is equipped with an automatic closure footrest).
With both hands, pull up the seat fabric as shown in the image.

BACKREST RIGIDIZER BAR AND FOOTREST LINKAGE.
The Maxi version, i.e. with seat widths of 48, 51 and 54 cm, is supplied with a folding backrest rigidizer bar C and a footrest linking
system D. These two accessories are particularly useful for making the wheelchair more rigid.

After opening the wheelchair, press the rigidizer bar down and lower the footrests so that the two metal parts engage with each other.
Before closing the wheelchair, raise the footrests and push the rigidizer bar upwards.
