Unfolding and folding the backrest
Only the backrest can be folded in this model.
While folding the backrest down, take care not to crush your fingers between the backrest post and the side guard.
UNFOLDING
With one hand, take hold of the cord A located at the lower side of the backrest and pull it up to unlock pin B from the support C (this operation is not necessary if the backrest is not provided with double lock plate).
With your other hand, grasp the backrest post handle or the backrest rigidizer bar.
Turn the backrest to its upright position (hold cord A at the beginning of the movement, then release it).
A click will indicate the backrest is locked; the pin B is locked to the hole of the plate C.

Before using the wheelchair, always check the backrest is locked in its upright position by moving the backrest post back and forth.
When correctly locked, the backrest post will allow just a little play.

FOLDING THE BACKREST
Grasp cord A on the back of the backrest with one hand and pull it upwards to release pin B from
support C.
Grasp the backrest with one hand by its handle or horizontal post.
Turn the backrest towards the seat (for the first short distance, hold cord A taut towards the top) until a
click indicates that locking is secure (locking is not provided if you have requested a backrest without
double locking mechanism).
A click indicates that pin B has been inserted into the hole in plate C.
When the backrest lock is closed, you can lift the wheelchair by grasping its ridizer bar.
With tubular armrests, it may be necessary to rotate them slightly in order to fold down the backrest.
